The options below are limited to employees who have permission to manage users in our org chart.

Requesting a Change of Status
- Log on to the LCSO Org Chart, using your computer or mobile app.
- Locate the employee that you want to request the Change of Status for, or the "Hiring" open position for a new hire, and click on the 3-dots (...) menu in the top right of the tile.
Note: a position is only listed as hiring if we have a known opening in the org chart, when we have less than the expected number of people filling that role.
If HR is seeking to list a brand new job opening or to change the expected staffing for a role, please reach out to [email protected] with that request.
- Select one of the available change options and complete the subsequent form:
- New Hire (only available for open roles)
- Transfer (available for existing employees or an open role)
- Reclassification (only available for deputies)
- Name Change (also available for employees to request for themselves)
- Add/Remove from a Team (remove option available only if they are a member of a team)
- End Employment: Retirement/Resignation/Termination (available for HR only)
- Approvers will be notified requesting their approval on the change.
- When the change is fully approved, email notifications will be disseminated (e.g. [email protected]) and Active Directory changes queued for automatic execution on the effective date of the change.
Approving a Change
If you are an approver in a change of status, you should receive an approval request via email from [email protected], including a summary of the change and options to approve or deny.
For your convenience, there is also an Approvals Dashboard available on the LCSO Intranet, that lets you view and approve/deny requests in bulk.
Viewing Upcoming Changes for an Employee
If an employee has an upcoming change pending that you have permission to view, their tile will display an icon in the top left. Clicking on this "clock" icon will pull up both upcoming changes on this employee and any changes tracked in their history*.
Viewing All Employee Changes*
This history of changes begins in 2025 and will not go back in time. It is provided for the convenience of Command Staff in a future-forward sense.
From the left menu tab of the org chart, click on the "Employee Changes" option. This will open up a menu of upcoming/historical changes of employee status across the agency.
You can also view the change history on a particular employee from the 3 dots (...) menu in the top right of their tile.
