To Mark Hit

When a license plate recognition alert (hit) is triggered, users have four options within Fleet Dashboard.

  • Correct read – Confirms the hit was read correctly. Fleet Dashboard automatically copies the plate text to the clipboard for pasting into our CAD system. Trust but verify before acting!
  • Wrong State: Marks the hit as a correct read but the incorrect state of origin. This dismisses the alert and stores the record in the hit log as a wrong state.
  • Incorrect read: Marks the hit as not matching the hot list plate number. This dismisses the alert and stores the record in the hit log as an incorrect hit.
  • Dismiss: Dismisses the notification and stores as an unconfirmed hit.
