Supervisors_Assign Body Worn Camera

Only Supervisors (Corporal and above) or the Axon Administrator are authorized to perform this task.


When assigning a replacement Body-Worn Camera (BWC), the supervisor must email the Axon Administrator with the following information:

  • Current Owner of the disabled BWC
  • Serial Number of the disabled BWC
  • Location of the disabled BWC
  • Description of the issue (what the BWC is or is not doing)

Important: Do NOT unassign the disabled BWC from its current assignee.

 

Launching the Axon Device Manager

 iPhone Version

  • Open the Axon Device Manager app.
  • Log in using the following:
    1. Organization URL: lakecountyfl.evidence.com > Tap Continue
    2. When prompted, allow the app to use "evidence.com" for sign-in > Tap Continue
  • Enter your Windows Credentials when prompted.
  • Complete Multifactor Authentication if required.
  • Read and accept the User Agreement.
  • Verify the user account > Tap Continue.

 

 

Assigning the BWC

Once the application is open you have 2 choices at the top of the screen > Tap Scan Code

  • At the top of the screen, select Scan Code.
  • Locate the QR code on the bottom right side (rear) of the BWC.
  • Use your phone to scan the QR code through the camera viewfinder that appears.
  • Once the device information is displayed, tap Done Scanning.
  • Verify the serial number displayed.
  • Tap Assign.
  • Search for the assignee by Last Name or ID Number.
    1. Select the correct individual > Tap Complete.
  • Place the BWC in the BWC Dock.
    1. Wait until the assignee’s ID number appears on the LED screen to confirm assignment.
