Transcript Translation allows users to generate AI-powered translations for audio and video evidence transcripts.

Note:

  • A transcript must already exist for the audio or video evidence file before a translation can be created. 
  • Translations are AI-generated and unverified.

  • Dutch (Netherlands) 
  • English (United States) 
  • French (Canada) 
  • French (France) 
  • German (Germany) 
  • Italian (Italy) 
  • Portuguese (Brazil) 
  • Spanish (Spain, United States) 

 

An additional 50 languages are currently available in Beta.

Generate a Translation

  1. Open the Evidence Details page for an audio or video file 
  2. Select the Transcript icon located on the right-hand side of the screen (5th icon down) 
  3. Select the Globe icon at the top of the transcript pane 
  4. In the pop-up window: 
    1. Choose the From language 
    2. Choose the To language 
  5. Select Translate 

A radio button is available to toggle between the original transcript and the translated version.

Remove a Translation

  1. Verify you are viewing the translated version of the audio or video transcript 
  2. Select the Globe icon at the top of the page 
  3. Choose Remove Translation 
  4. Confirm removal by selecting Remove in the pop-up window
